ABOUT ME

Patricia Kellogg is a self- taught watercolour painter who has lived and worked in Kamloops, British Columbia for the past 5 decades. Since 1984 she has participated in group shows and had numerous solo exhibitions and commissions. Her works are in many private and public collections, including the Kamloops Art gallery. Sketches and photographic records accumulated after many hours and years of exploring the regional back roads and city streets have served as a basis for structuring Kellogg's images. In her meticulous and detailed compositions she strives to create a true representation of the light, colour, landforms, and landmarks of the Kamloops area. Kellogg's main goal is to fuse within the basic composition a feeling, a statement or philosophy in regards to life and living, both past and present. Her landscapes are representative of the subtle beauty and delicate natural balance of the region. Sky and its influencing light are an integral part of her images.
