Grasslands in Peril

Grasslands in Peril

SKU: 0011
C$300.00Price

The background image is the remnants of an old copper mine from years past. It lies off the Goose Lake road half an hour or so southwest of Kamloops, BC. It is a jolting reminder that all of the surrounding grasslands has been bought up by a foreign mining company for its copper potential. The potential mine abuts the city boundaries. If this company eventually succeeds in its quest to mine this area, there will be great grassland destruction. Not only will the environment be destroyed, but there will be toxic tailings ponds and pollution of both the air and land. There is no recovery from this.
