Reflections on Past Lives
This watercolor painting is from the interior of an old abandoned building on the Kirkland Ranch Rd, west of the town of Ashcroft, BC. The kind of detritus left behind is always intriguing to me and gives rise to the questions of who lived here, when, and most of all, why did they leave. That boot on the table, a common style for a long time could be fifty years old or a hundred years old.
